The Lüscher BonBon Palette is a psychological test based on the work of Dr. Max Lüscher. Max Lüscher believed that sensory perception of color is objective and universally shared by all, but that color preferences are subjective, and that this distinction allows subjective states to be objectively measured by using test colors. Lüscher developed different color tests based on 8 colors. When using the themed catering table based on color choices, The guest chooses three sympathetic colors and one not sympathetic to create his own customized Lüscher Bonbon Palette. While eating the dessert the participant will receive a brief description of his choice of color and
of his current mood and state. The report from the remaining palettes reflects the personality and mood of the whole group. The concept - based on color - carries the science of color symbolism and color theory. The 8-color board and the gray bonbon cubes together could be the visual communication of the simultaneous contrast theory. Simultaneous contrast refers to the way in which two different colors affect each other. The theory is that one color can change how we perceive the tone and hue of another when the two are placed side by side. The actual colors themselves don’t change, but we see them as altered.
